【西陣織あさぎ美術館 大阪・中之島館】について

大阪・中之島─水都大阪を象徴するこの地は、歴史ある文化施設と先進的な都市機能が調和する、伝統と革新の交差点。
その中之島に佇む「リーガロイヤルホテル大阪 ヴィニェットコレクション」の1階に「西陣織あさぎ美術館 大阪・中之島館」が5月16日(土)オープンいたします。

当館では、日本が誇る京都の伝統産業である西陣織に焦点を当て、千年以上にわたり受け継がれてきた技と美を、現代の感性とともにご紹介いたします。
精緻な織の技法と豊かな意匠によって生み出される西陣織の数々を、上質で落ち着いた空間の中で、ゆったりとご鑑賞いただけます。
また、日本の美意識を体感いただける体験プログラムをご用意しております。

中之島という文化薫る地にふさわしく、京都から受け継がれる伝統と、現代へと広がる新たな表現が響き合う場として、皆様をお迎えできることを楽しみにしております。

About the Nishijin-ori Asagi Museum, Osaka Nakanoshima

Osaka—known as the “City of Water”—is a place where historic cultural institutions and modern urban life exist in harmony, creating a unique blend of tradition and innovation.

The Nishijin-ori Asagi Museum, located in the Nakanoshima district of Osaka, will open on May 16 on the first floor of the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka, Vignette Collection.

Our museum focuses on Nishijin-ori, a traditional textile from Kyoto that represents Japan’s rich cultural heritage. We present its beauty and techniques—refined over more than a thousand years—in a way that connects with contemporary audiences.

Visitors can explore a wide range of textiles featuring intricate weaving techniques and rich designs, all within a calm and elegant setting.

We also offer cultural programs for international visitors, providing deeper and hands-on experiences of Japanese aesthetics.
